Amit Shah Addresses CISF 57th Raising Day Ceremony

Mundali, Odisha: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, addressed the 57th Raising Day ceremony of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) as the Chief Guest today. He laid the foundation stone for three residential complexes (Kamrup, Nashik, and Sehore) worth ₹890 crore and inaugurated two residential complexes (Rajarhat and Delhi).

Amit Shah praised CISF’s dedication and valor, saying it has risen to the pinnacle of industrial security. He emphasized CISF’s crucial role in India’s industrial development and economic growth, providing a secure environment for industries.

“CISF has not only fulfilled its objectives but has also evolved with time, embracing modernity while keeping traditions alive,” Amit Shah stated. He highlighted CISF’s achievements, including 13,693 medals for gallantry and distinguished service.

The Home Minister also mentioned the Ministry’s decision to entrust CISF with port security, making it a key player in India’s maritime security. He expressed confidence that CISF will excel in this new role.

Amit Shah praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India’s development and CISF’s contribution to achieving these goals. He emphasized the importance of internal and external security, stating that the Ministry of Home Affairs is prepared to play its role.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Home Secretary, and CISF Director General, among other dignitaries.
