Finland’s Healthcare Sector Eyes India: Delegation to Explore Partnerships

A high-level delegation of 10 Finnish healthcare companies is set to visit India from September 15-19, 2025, marking a significant milestone in collaboration between Finland and India in the healthcare sector.
Led by Ambassador Kimmo Lähdevirta in Delhi and Consul General Erik af Hällström in Mumbai, the delegation will engage with leading hospitals, government institutions, and industry players to explore joint initiatives.
Finland’s Ambassador to India, Kimmo Lähdevirta, emphasized that this visit represents a new chapter where Finnish innovation meets India’s scale and ambition.
“India and Finland share a vision of building smart, sustainable, and inclusive healthcare. This visit marks a new chapter where Finnish innovation meets India’s scale and ambition,” said Kimmo Lähdevirta, Ambassador of Finland to India.
With Finland consistently ranked among the world’s best healthcare systems, combining cost efficiency with high-quality outcomes, and supported by one of the most digitalized societies.Nearly all patient data in Finland is stored electronically, which enables seamless, secure, and efficient care across the entire healthcare system.
The delegation represents key healthcare domains, including advanced diagnostics and disease detection, digital health and AI-powered prevention, biopharmaceuticals and biologics manufacturing, infection control and hospital infrastructure, and healthcare workforce solutions. Companies such as Nightingale Health, Tezted, Danvantar Biophotonics, Metabite, Paras Biopharmaceuticals, Elomatic, Halton, Serres, Cleamix, and Viiom will be part of the delegation.
Sonali Saigal Kapur, Senior Advisor at Business Finland, highlighted the increasing interest of Finnish healthcare companies in the Indian market.
