Indian Army Launches ‘Operation ShivShakti’, Neutralizes 2 Terrorists in Poonch Sector

Poonch:In a coordinated counter-terrorism operation, the Indian Army launched ‘Operation ShivShakti’ in the Poonch Sector today. The operation was based on credible intelligence inputs acquired through synergistic and synchronized intelligence coordination between military and civil intelligence units, in concert with Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Two terrorists were killed in a fierce gunfight along the Line of Control in the early morning hours. A large quantity of war-like stores was recovered, including two assault rifles with ammunition, one pistol with ammunition, hand grenades, two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), medicines, communication device, and other logistic stores.
The security forces acted swiftly on the inputs, laying coordinated ambushes on the appreciated infiltration routes, preventing any collateral damage and ensuring the safety of the local population. The operation highlights the high level of synergy, coordination, and commitment between the Indian Army and other security agencies towards maintaining peace and security in the region.
Operation ShivShakti is a significant setback to the nefarious designs of Pakistan-sponsored terrorist organizations that are constantly abetting acts of terror in Jammu and Kashmir. A search operation is currently underway in the surrounding areas to rule out the presence of any more terrorists.
