Milipol India 2025: Showcasing Cutting-Edge Technologies in Homeland Security

New Delhi: Milipol India 2025 commenced with a solemn one-minute standing condolence at Yashobhoomi in Delhi, honoring the families of victims affected by the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Srinagar. The three-day event, scheduled from April 23 to 25, was inaugurated by François-Noël Buffet, Minister attached to the Minister of the Interior of France.
The event brings together exhibitors from India, France, the Netherlands, the UAE, and the US, showcasing cutting-edge technologies in surveillance, AI-driven security systems, cybersecurity, and crisis management. These technologies are expected to shape the future of global security.
Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, emphasized the growing importance of Indo-French cooperation in the security sector. He highlighted the potential for co-production of advanced technologies, stating that collaboration between the two nations can enhance the capabilities of their security forces.
“Together, we can enhance the capabilities of our security forces, invest in co-production with advanced technologies, and create an environment where both nations’ startups, MSMEs, and industries can collaborate, innovate, and succeed,” Rai stated.
The event features state-level conferences and expert panels, providing a platform for industry leaders, defense experts, and policy decision-makers to discuss regional security issues and innovation-led solutions. These discussions are expected to foster greater cooperation and collaboration between nations.
French Minister François-Noël Buffet highlighted the deepening Indo-French defense and security collaboration and stressed the importance of expanding this partnership further, including into emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this regard, he referenced key discussions held during the AI Action Summit in Paris on February 10–11, 2025, between the President of France and the Prime Minister of India.
The event is attended by senior officials from Indian and French security and governmental agencies, including the French Ambassador to India, Dr. Thierry Mathou, and Colonel Yannick Vidal, Chief of Staff for Operations from the French National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN).
Milipol India 2025 aims to strengthen international cooperation, support technological progress, and promote a safer world. The event is expected to drive impactful conversations and collaborations that will shape future policies and security paradigms globally.
