Rang De Korea Returns: A Vibrant Celebration of Korean Culture Hits Delhi and Mumbai

New Delhi: The Korean Cultural Centre India is set to bring the essence of Seoul to India’s capital and financial hub with the fourth edition of “Rang De Korea” in New Delhi on October 11 and the inaugural “K-Harmony Festa” in Mumbai on October 12. These back-to-back events promise an immersive experience into Korea’s rich cultural tapestry, marking a significant milestone in India-Korea cultural exchange.
Indian audiences will step into iconic Seoul backdrops like Myeongdong, Bukchon Hanok Village, Jongno Food Alley, Hangang Park, and Gangneung’s BTS Bus Stop, offering a glimpse into Korea’s vibrant lifestyle and pop culture through the Seoul Street concept. Major Korean companies will showcase their products, blending culture and commerce.
The cultural performances showcase Korea’s rich diversity – from Kukkiwon Taekwondo demonstrations to S-Flava, a fusion group combining Korean traditional music and b-boying, Korean traditional dance, and high-energy performances by the eight-member K-pop boy group Younite.
Younite will also hold a special fan meeting, offering Indian audiences a chance to engage with them up close.
Hwang Il Yong, Director of Korean Cultural Center India, emphasized that Hallyu (Korean Wave) has become mainstream among India’s youth, driving growth in K-beauty and K-food markets. These festivals aim to expand Korea-India cultural exchange, strengthen bonds and mutual understanding, and boost opportunities for Korean businesses in India, particularly in Mumbai’s financial hub.
The events are organized by the Korean Cultural Centre India, with K-Harmony Festa in association with Maharashtra Tourism. Rang De Korea takes place at Nexus Select CITYWALK Plaza in New Delhi on October 11, and K-Harmony Festa is at Jio World Drive, South Sky, in Mumbai on October 12.
