Union Home Minister Amit Shah Interacts with Security Personnel in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh : Union Home Minister Amit Shah interacted with security personnel in New Raipur, Chhattisgarh, paying tribute to the bravery and dedication of the Central Armed Police Forces, CoBRA teams, Chhattisgarh Police, and District Reserve Guard (DRG) in the fight against Naxalism.

Amit Shah expressed his full faith in the security forces’ ability to eradicate Naxalism, stating that the government aims to achieve this goal by March 31, 2026. He praised the security forces for dismantling Maoist hideouts with immense courage and commitment, which has garnered international attention.

The Union Home Minister highlighted the devastating impact of Naxalism on poor tribal regions, resulting in nearly 40,000 deaths and many more disabled over the last 35 years. He emphasized that Naxal violence has deprived the poor tribal population of basic necessities like food, electricity, education, and healthcare.

As Naxalism is being eliminated from various regions, Amit Shah noted that the Chhattisgarh government is ensuring the delivery of essential services like food, healthcare, education, and sanitation, connecting people with the mainstream of development.

Amit Shah stated that when the country becomes free from Naxalism in March 2026 under the leadership of PM Modi, it will be one of the most significant moments since Independence. He emphasized that the sacrifice, devotion, and hard work of the security forces will be remembered in history.

Amit Shah also released the book ‘Leor Oyna’, which is based on the lives of victims of Naxal violence. The book aims to expose the ruthless violence inflicted by Naxalites and highlight the pain of innocent people who fell prey to their violence.
