Defence Secretary, Israel MoD DG Discuss Ways to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation

New Delhi: Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh held a bilateral meeting with Director General of the Israel Ministry of Defence, Major General (Res) Amir Baram, in New Delhi on July 23, 2025. The meeting aimed to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to develop an institutional framework to deepen defence ties with a long-term perspective. They reviewed the progress of ongoing defence collaboration activities since the last Joint Working Group meeting held in July 2024 in India.

The Israel DG condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and conveyed full support for India’s fight against terrorism. Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh reiterated India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and condemned the October 7, 2023, terrorist attacks in Israel, calling for the release of all hostages.

This visit marks a pivotal step in India-Israel defence relations, reinforcing both sides’ commitment to enhance their strategic partnership. The meeting underscores the growing cooperation between the two countries in the defence sector.
