South Korea’s Sharebox expands into India with AI-XR immersive content

NEW DELHI: South Korean AI-XR based spatial content company Sharebox Co., Ltd. is expanding into India with plans to introduce AI-XR content, interactive LED experiences and IP-based immersive spaces across shopping malls, commercial facilities, cultural spaces and brand venues.

As part of its India push, the company has established a foundation for its business through more than eight Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with local companies, partners and associations, it said in a statement on Friday.

Sharebox said it plans to combine its technology and content production capabilities developed in Korea with the expertise and networks of Indian partners to develop immersive projects suited to the Indian market.

The company sees opportunities across India’s growing digital content, entertainment, retail and commercial sectors, where immersive experiences are gaining relevance as a tool for audience engagement and brand interaction.

Led by CEO Shin Yeon-sik, Sharebox brings experience in developing AI, XR, LED and interactive spatial content. The company recently operated an AI-XR immersive pop-up store featuring “Heendy,” the official character of Hyundai Department Store, and has presented XR pop-up experiences based on popular animation IPs.

“In Korea, we have developed a business model that connects content and physical spaces through a variety of immersive projects combining IP with AI-XR technologies,” Sharebox’s overseas business head T. Kim said.

“In India, we plan to leverage our partnerships with local companies to adapt and expand Korean technologies and content to the local market, while actively pursuing commercialization and project opportunities,” Kim added.

The company said it will continue to expand partnerships in India and develop the country into one of its key hubs for further expansion across Asia and the global market.

Sharebox is scheduled to participate in the Bengaluru Tech Summit to be held in Bengaluru from Nov 17 to 19.
