India-Singapore Joint Military Exercise ‘Bold Kurukshetra 2025’ Kicks Off in Jodhpur

The 14th edition of the India-Singapore Joint Military Exercise, Exercise Bold Kurukshetra 2025, commenced in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, and will continue until August 4, 2025. This year’s exercise focuses on enhancing interoperability and joint training capabilities between the Indian Army’s Mechanised Infantry Regiment and the 42 Singapore Armoured Regiment of the 4 Singapore Armoured Brigade under the United Nations mandate.
The exercise will be conducted in the form of a Table Top Exercise and Computer-Based Wargame, simulating realistic battlefield conditions to validate operational procedures for mechanized warfare. It will culminate in an impressive equipment display by the Indian Army, showcasing its latest indigenous platforms and systems.
Colonel Arjun Ganapathi, Commanding Officer of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment, will lead the Indian contingent, while Lieutenant Colonel Khiew Zhi Yoong, Battalion Commander of the 42 Singapore Armoured Regiment, will head the Singaporean side. Brigadier Pritam, Commander of 340 (I) Mechanised Brigade, and Colonel Wong Zeng Yu, Commander of the 4 Singapore Armoured Brigade, will be present as chief guests.
A symbolic handing over of the Regimental Flag by the 42 Singapore Armoured Regiment to the Indian contingent marked the formal transfer of operational responsibility. Exercise Bold Kurukshetra 2025 aims to further consolidate the strong defence ties between India and Singapore, fostering greater mutual understanding and collaboration at both tactical and strategic levels. The exercise demonstrates the commitment of both nations to maintaining a robust and responsive defence partnership in the Indo-Pacific region.
