Indian Army’s Swift Action Restores Road Connectivity in Ramban

Ramban: The Indian Army has restored vital road connectivity in Ramban district by launching a 150-foot reinforced Maitra Bridge on the Karol-Maitra Road. The bridge was constructed after a crucial stretch of the road was washed away due to incessant rainfall, disrupting daily life and stranding locals and vehicles.
The District Administration had requested the Indian Army’s assistance in restoring connectivity, and a team from the White Knight Engineers was deployed to execute the task. The bridge, a Triple Panel Double Storey Extra Wide Reinforced Bailey Bridge, was designed to ensure heavy traffic bearing capacity.
The Indian Army worked in coordination with the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), District Administration, and Police Department Ramban, among other civilian agencies, to complete the task.
This effort is part of the Indian Army’s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations under the project #HumAapkeSaathHain, which has been providing timely relief to people affected by torrential rains, landslides, and flash floods in the region. Over 5,000 people have been provided relief, and medical camps have been organized in remote villages to provide necessary medical aid.
The Indian Army’s sustained efforts have strengthened the bond of faith and confidence between the Armed Forces and local communities, demonstrating their commitment to serving the people.
