Centrum Air’s Direct Delhi–Tashkent Flights Take Off, Strengthening India–Uzbekistan Air Connectivity

New Delhi, October 3, 2025 – Centrum Air, Uzbekistan’s largest private airline, has launched direct passenger flights between Delhi (DEL) and Tashkent (TAS), marking a significant milestone in enhancing air connectivity between India and Uzbekistan. This development is expected to boost tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two nations.

The service operates twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Fridays, offering affordable fares and comfortable travel on Centrum Air’s modern fleet. The inaugural ceremony was held at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, in association with GMR, customs authorities, and senior airport officials, featuring a traditional diya lighting ceremony. Departing passengers were welcomed into a festive atmosphere with decorated check-in counters, rangoli, and commemorative gifts. Cake-cutting ceremonies were held at both departure and arrival terminals to celebrate this milestone.

Passengers enthusiastically took photos and selfies with specially curated props and banners to mark the occasion. The flight crew was greeted with bouquets, while arriving passengers were welcomed in India with special goodies. The energy at the airport reflected the importance of this launch for both nations.

This launch follows a pre-launch celebration held on September 26, 2025, at The Grand, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, attended by Sardor Rustambaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan, senior dignitaries, trade partners, and media representatives. Highlights included welcome addresses, presentations on Centrum Air’s vision, an engaging lucky draw, and networking over a specially curated lunch.
