NSA Ajit Doval Hosts Colombo Security Conclave Meeting

New Delhi, November 20, 2025 – The 7th National Security Adviser (NSA) level meeting of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) was held today, hosted by India’s NSA Ajit Doval. The meeting brought together NSA-level representatives from Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, with Seychelles participating as an Observer State and Malaysia as a Guest.
The CSC, formed to promote regional security cooperation in the Indian Ocean Region, has been working on five pillars: Maritime Safety and Security, Countering Terrorism and Radicalisation, Combating Trafficking and Transnational Organised Crime, Cyber Security, and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief.
The meeting reviewed progress since the 6th NSA-level meeting in Mauritius in December 2023 and discussed ways to enhance cooperation, including training and capacity building. The CSC Members welcomed Seychelles as a full member and reiterated their commitment to the CSC’s vision and objectives.
The delegations were led by senior officials from each member state, including Ibrahim Latheef (Maldives), Rahul Rasgotra (Mauritius), Sampath Thuyacontha (Sri Lanka), and Khalil-ur-Rehman (Bangdomasgh). Seychelles was represented by Major General Michael Rosette, and Malaysia by Badrul Shah Mohd Idris.
