IAF Global Space Exploration Conference 2025 Concludes in New Delhi

New Delhi, India – The fourth edition of the IAF Global Space Exploration Conference 2025 (GLEX 2025) has concluded in New Delhi, India. The conference, hosted by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and co-hosted by the Astronautical Society of India (ASI), saw participation from over 1,500 delegates from 36 countries.

The conference, themed “Reaching New Worlds: A Space Exploration Renaissance,” featured high-level speeches, traditional Indian performances, and discussions on the latest developments in space exploration. Indian Minister of State for Space Jitendra Singh highlighted India’s growing presence in the space sector, saying, “For India, in 2025 sky is no longer the limit.”

IAF President Clay Mowry praised India’s space achievements, stating, “You should be very proud as a country, you have inspired the world with your incredible accomplishments.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the delegates via video message, announcing India’s plans to put a footprint on the Moon by 2040.

The conference saw participation from several countries, including the UAE, China, Türkiye, Canada, Japan, and European countries, which unveiled ambitious plans for space exploration. The importance of international cooperation in space exploration was a recurring theme throughout the conference.

A highlight of the conference was the participation of a group of ten astronauts, including the first Indian, first Turkish, and first Emirati astronaut. The astronauts engaged with the public and students, inspiring the next generation and promoting the benefits of space exploration.

The IAF Global Conferences journey will continue next year in Kigali, Rwanda with the IAF Global Space Conference on Climate Change (GLOC 2026) on June 2-4, 2026.
