Nepal’s Armed Police Force Embarks on Study Tour to India to Strengthen Border Cooperation

New Delhi: A 21-member delegation of officers and trainees from Nepal’s Armed Police Force (APF) has arrived in New Delhi, India, for an 11-day study tour. The visit aims to enhance cooperation and understanding between the APF and India’s Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), the border guarding forces of Nepal and India, respectively.

During their stay, the delegation will visit various establishments of India’s Central Armed Police Forces, including the Central Reserve Police Force Headquarters, the Central Industrial Security Force, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Academy. The visit is expected to provide valuable insights into the functioning and training activities of India’s central security forces.

The APF and SSB have a long history of cooperation, engaging in joint patrolling, intelligence exchange, and coordination meetings to secure the Nepal-India border. The study tour is part of efforts to further strengthen this cooperation and promote better understanding between the two forces.

Amrit Mohan Prasad, Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal, welcomed the delegation and highlighted the importance of cooperation between the APF and SSB in securing the border and promoting peace and stability in the region. The visit is expected to pave the way for increased collaboration and cooperation between the two forces in the future.
