Security Meeting Ahead of Amarnath Yatra, DGP J&K Reviews Preparations

Srinagar: In preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025, Director General of Police J&K, Nalin Prabhat-IPS, chaired a crucial joint meeting at the Police Control Room Kashmir. The meeting brought together senior officers from the Police, CRPF, ITBP, Traffic Police, Railways, and various security and intelligence agencies to review and finalize security arrangements for the yatra.
The meeting commenced with zonal IGsP briefing the DGP on the proposed security plans, followed by detailed presentations from officers of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and other security forces. They emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among the forces to ensure a smooth and secure yatra.
DGP J&K issued directives for the strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and stressed the need for proactive measures to mitigate potential risks and ensure the safety of yatris. He instructed field officers to intensify efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem and bolster security measures along the yatra routes.
To enhance security, DGP J&K directed the deployment of Anti-Sabotage teams along the pilgrimage routes and emphasized the utilization of advanced technologies for real-time surveillance and threat detection.
The meeting concluded with a firm resolve among the participating agencies to ensure the highest level of preparedness and coordination. By working together, the security forces aim to make the Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025 a successful and safe experience for all devotees.
