Korean Beauty Expert Leads Makeup Masterclass at KCCI

As Korean pop culture cements its place in India’s mainstream, local Hallyu fans are evolving from consumers to cultural trendsetters, driving demand for deeper engagement with Korean lifestyle and beauty.

The King Sejong Institute at the Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) launched a three-day ‘K-Beauty and K-Trend Makeup Masterclass’ from June 29 to July 1, 2026.

The premium program moves beyond passive consumption of K-pop and K-dramas. It offers participants training in the historical rise of K-Beauty and current global makeup techniques now shaping international trends.

The masterclass is led by a renowned Korean beauty expert who serves as CEO of a premium beauty academy and is a certified Personal Color consultant. With experience spanning television production, high-fashion editorials, advertising campaigns, and international K-Beauty education, the instructor is providing customized training for India’s Hallyu community.

A highlight is the ‘Hands-on Personal Color Analysis Session.’ Participants learn the scientific principles behind how skin tone, eye color, and facial features influence makeup and styling choices. Through live demos and interactive practice, attendees receive personalized coaching focused on K-Beauty’s core philosophy: enhancing natural beauty while celebrating individuality.

“The Hallyu fandom in India has grown into a powerful cultural force with significant influence in the global market,” said Hwang Il Yong, Director of KCCI. “K-Beauty, with its emphasis on innovation, creativity, and self-expression, has become one of the most compelling lifestyles for India’s youth.”

Hwang added that the masterclass aims to help Indian fans experience Korea’s aesthetic values on a deeper level and further strengthen cultural bonds between the two nations.

The event is part of KCCI’s ongoing effort to foster a sophisticated cultural partnership with India through immersive educational experiences, reflecting the rising global prominence of Indian Hallyu fans.
