BSF DG Conducts Two-Day Visit to North Bengal Frontier

Kolkata: As part of efforts to strengthen border security, Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Daljit Singh Chawdhary, undertook a two-day visit to the North Bengal Frontier on December 24 and 25, 2024.

The Director General visited the Teen Bigha Corridor, where he engaged in a courtesy meeting with BGB Sector Commander Rangpur. He interacted with troops at the border, commending their dedication to maintaining the highest standards of border security and operational efficiency.

Emphasizing the importance of health and fitness, the Director General advised jawans to prioritize their well-being.During his visit, the Daljit Singh was accompanied by Ravi Gandhi, ADG, BSF Eastern Command.

He inaugurated a new integrated training complex and obstacle systems at the Subsidiary Training Center (STC) Baikunthpur, aimed at enhancing training capabilities.

To improve living standards, the Director General inaugurated residential quarters at the BSF Camp in Assam More, Jalpaiguri.

He witnessed a joint retreat ceremony at the LCS Fulbari with the BGB Sector Commander Thakurgaon, reinforcing the spirit of mutual cooperation between the two border guarding forces.

The Director General commended the efforts of BSF North Bengal Frontier in maintaining peace and tranquility in its area of responsibility.
