Russian House in New Delhi to Host Opening of “MGIMO Days” in India

New Delhi: The Russian House in New Delhi will host the opening of “MGIMO Days” in India on May 26 at 12:00, marking a key educational outreach initiative aimed at Indian students and young professionals.

Organized by MGIMO University under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, in collaboration with the Russian Embassy in India and the Russian House in New Delhi, the special event will spotlight opportunities in international relations, diplomacy, business, and global career development.

“MGIMO Days” is designed for students and young professionals interested in global careers. The university shares longstanding ties with India, with over 60 Indian citizens having graduated since 2005. MGIMO currently cooperates with nine Indian universities and is actively developing double degree programme.

During the event, participants will be introduced to MGIMO’s history and traditions, academic programs, student life, and global career opportunities for graduates. Representatives from the university are expected to outline admission processes, scholarships, and prospects for Indian applicants.

Founded in 1944 as a dedicated diplomatic academy, MGIMO University has spent over 80 years establishing itself as one of the leading institutions for international relations, economics, law, business, political science and other humanities. Often dubbed the “School of Presidents, Ministers and Billionaires” and referred to by some as the “Harvard of the Non-Western World,” its alumni include sitting heads of state, foreign ministers, ambassadors, and executives at major multinational corporations and international organizations.

The initiative reflects growing academic collaboration between India and Russia, offering Indian students direct access to one of Russia’s most prestigious universities for diplomacy and international affairs.
