K-Pop Contest 2024: LUN8 Steals the Show with Electrifying Performance
The Grand Finale of the All-India K-pop Contest 2024 took place at the Yashobhoomi International Exhibition and Convention Centre in New Delhi, showcasing the best of K-pop talent in India.
The contest saw 12 teams competing in the dance and vocal categories, with ‘The Trend’ from Arunachal Pradesh and Abhipriya Chakraborty from Kolkata emerging as the winners. Both winners have earned a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit Korea and experience its rich culture.
LUN8, a rising boy group that debuted in June 2023, delivered a mesmerizing performance that transported Indian Hallyu fans to the heart of Korea. Their electrifying stage presence has sparked immense excitement among Indian fans, leaving a lasting impression.
The finale showcased 12 exceptional teams, handpicked from regional qualifiers and semifinals, out of a staggering 10,559 aspirants from 11 Indian cities, spanning Bengaluru to Bhopal.
The event was a celebration of K-pop and Korean culture, with a range of exciting performances and activities. The contest was judged by a panel of entertainment experts, including choreographer Park Bong-Young.
The Korean Cultural Centre India also organised a range of Korean cultural events, including a vegan kimchi-making performance and a K-pop random play dance.
The contest has solidified its position as India’s premier K-pop celebration, with a massive fan following and widespread media coverage. The event has also provided a platform for Indian fans to showcase their talent and passion for K-pop.
